Agropolymers Engineering and Emerging Technologies (IATE)

The IATE joint research unit develops a multidisciplinary scientific approach for the characterization, transformation, and valorization of renewable agro-resources from the agricultural, forestry, and agri-food sectors.

The UMR is particularly interested in the structure and functionality of biopolymers and biomolecules.

His multidisciplinary expertise lies at the interface between:

  • biochemistry;
  • physical chemistry;
  • process engineering;
  • biotechnology;
  • chemistry;
  • physics;
  • digital and computational modeling.

The research addresses the complexity of agro-resources using powerful analytical methods and the design of original technological pathways for processing in the fields of agri-food, bio-based materials, biocatalysis, and bioenergy.
