Biocommunication in Cardio-Metabolic (BC2M)

Our research project focuses on biocommunication between the cardiovascular/renal axis and metabolic tissues in the context of a complex pathophysiological condition known as metabolic syndrome.
Our work focuses on better characterizing the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in damage to various target tissues (cardiovascular and metabolic) during metabolic dysfunction, as well as the biocommunication pathways between these tissues.
Through this integrative approach to chronic diseases, we hope to develop new therapeutic strategies aimed at preventing cardiovascular and metabolic tissue damage, thereby reducing cardiovascular risk and metabolic dysfunction.
