Montpellier Institute of Neuroscience (INM)

The Montpellier Institute of Neuroscience aims to study the pathophysiology and treatments of sensory (hearing, vision, somatosensory) and motor deficits. In their research, the teams rely on multidisciplinary approaches—ranging from molecular genetics, cellular imaging, and electrophysiology to the study of integrated systems—to develop preclinical trials.

The INM teams are working on a variety of research topics:

  • Genetics and Treatment of Retinal Blindness;
  • Physiology and pathophysiology of the inner ear;
  • Development and pathophysiology of proprioceptive systems;
  • Physiology and Therapeutic Approaches to Spinal Cord Disorders.
