Laboratory of Pathogens and Host Immunity (LPHI)

The research conducted by the LPHI teams aims to provide new insights into the study of biological membranes, particularly in the context of parasitic (malaria, toxoplasmosis), bacterial (tuberculosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcal infections), and viral (antiviral defenses) infectious processes.

The LPHI unit focuses on high-quality, innovative basic research in the field of biology. The research relies on integrated approaches that draw on genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology, and in vitro and in vivo cell biology.

The laboratory collaborates with chemists and hosts a team of theorists, physicists, and mathematicians, with the aim of integrating biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics into comprehensive or targeted multidisciplinary approaches to the biological processes under study.
