Laboratory of Mechanics and Civil Engineering (LMGC)

UMR 5508

In its research, the Laboratory of Mechanics and Civil Engineering addresses both original topics rooted in fundamental questions and more recent topics arising from interactions with biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, and other fields.

Organized into seven research teams, the LMGC covers a wide range of topics, from welding and thermography to biomechanics, wood, mathematics, granular media, and innovative structures.
These areas combine fundamental research with applied research at the heart of innovation and the key challenges facing industry, healthcare, and the environment.
