Actors, Resources, and Territories in Development (ART-Dev)

ARTDEV

The ART-Dev joint research unit explores the links between regions and contrasting development dynamics. The analysis of these links takes into account resource mobilization, as well as the strategies and configurations of actors influencing public policy, the economy, and the environment. ART-Dev’s research focus spans several thematic areas (rural, urban, environment, energy, migration, transportation, etc.) and diverse geographic regions (North and South).

One of the unit’s distinctive features is its ability to compare regions in the South and North, as well as contrasting situations within the same country. Its current scientific project is structured around three research areas and a cross-cutting program:

  • Axis 1: Rural restructuring and public policy;
  • Axis 2: Natural Resources and Environmental Regulation;
  • Theme 3: Interfaces, Anchors, and Mobility in Globalization

Cross-cutting Program: Asymmetries, Public Policy, and Scales of Action.
