You are an exchange student
You are an exchange student and would like to study or do an internship at the University of Montpellier (Erasmus+ program, bilateral exchange, etc.).
Erasmus+

Every year, the University of Montpellier welcomes many students through the Erasmus+ program across all its academic departments, schools, and institutes. To participate in this program, you must be selected by your home university. Contact the international relations office of the academic department, school, or institute in your field of study, which will provide you with information on the specific details of your exchange: housing in university residence halls, academic calendar, study agreement, etc.
INTER-UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENTS
The University of Montpellier has entered into partnership agreements with universities around the world.
Under these signed agreements, you can participate in a study abroad program lasting one or two semesters at our academic departments, schools, and training institutes.
You must:
- be enrolled at your home university;
- Your application will be processed by the International Relations Office at your home university and forwarded to the International Relations Office of the relevant department, school, or institute;
- enroll in the French student health insurance program, unless you present a European Health Insurance Card or the France-Québec SE401-Q106 form.
The benefits of the program:
- waiver of tuition fees at the host university;
- recognition by your home university of the coursework you completed at the University of Montpellier.

Before making arrangements for your arrival in France, please contact the Campus France office in your home country. If your country is on the Campus France list, the procedure requires that applications be submitted to Campus France before you can apply for admission to the University of Montpellier. Registration
Your application has been accepted by the University of Montpellier through the Etudes en France program. If you would like more information about the registration process, please contact the registrar’s office at your host department, school, or institute.
Tuition / Registration Fees
Tuition fees for a bachelor’s degree program are 178 euros per academic year, 254 euros for a master’s degree program, 628 euros for an engineering program at an institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, and 397 euros for a doctoral program.

French as a Foreign Language
UM offers French as a Foreign Language courses (levels A0 to B2) for university students. These courses are open to all international students at UM, provided their department or the Office of International Relations covers the costs. They are designed for international students who wish to improve their French language skills.
If you are not enrolled as a student at UM, we recommend that you contact the IEFE at Paul Valéry University, the CIHEAM-IAMM Language Center or theSAIEC.

We will assist you with the administrative procedures upon your arrival at the University of Marseille (registration, student ID card, orientation, etc.). Please contact your department, school, or host institute.

HEALTH
During the academic year, you will receive an invitation via your institutional email address at the University of Montpellier to attend a preventive health check-up at the Preventive Medicine Department. This appointment will provide an opportunity to review your health and receive information about healthcare services in France and in the city where you are studying. With this in mind, we encourage you to bring any records or documents related to your medical history in your home country (health checkups, vaccinations, copies of X-rays, etc.) when you come to France.
