Chemicals division
It represents the creation of a special place for scientific transformation in response to socio-economic and environmental challenges, for a chemistry at the service of mankind and his environment.
It provides a forum for synergy between research structures and scientific cooperation, to develop joint initiatives between I-SITE members.
Missions
Synergizing research and scientific cooperation structures to develop high-level, interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research actions and activities.
- Coordination, communication, strategy and scientific foresight
- Partnerships and structuring research
- Visibility and international influence
- Interface between training and research
- Scientific governance of the University
- Participation in job and skills management planning
Scientific scope
The Chemistry cluster brings together all the chemical science research players at the Montpellier and Marcoule sites, supported by :
- 4 Joint research units,
- 3 Technology platforms,
- 1 Chemistry thematic laboratory of the I-SITE MUSE project, Lab-MUSE Chemistry.
- 4 Units with a secondary attachment to the Chemistry cluster.
The cluster's research themes are organized around 3 priority areas:
- Materials and processes for energy,
- Enhancing natural resources,
- Green and sustainable chemistry processes
