[LUM#15] Africa

To mark this year’s Africa–France Summit, hosted in Montpellier, this fifteenth issue of your Lum magazine is entirely devoted to Africa.

More specifically, in Africa—a continent of contrasts with which we have forged close ties, as evidenced by the numerous research projects conducted with our partners in Africa, which are featured in this special issue of your magazine.

Track elephants on their mysterious migrations, and keep an eye on beaches that are disappearing before our very eyes. Follow the researchers who work every day to better understand issues related to water and food resources, in order to anticipate and adapt to changes—both climatic and demographic. Also meet those who fight daily against major health threats that endanger populations, such as the Ebola virus or sleeping sickness…

To start with, join the botanists as they explore this extraordinary ecosystem and discover through these images the fragile treasures hidden within the rainforest…
