Voix pl’UM

Voix pl’UM is a student organization at the University of Montpellier founded in 2025.
The goal of the Voix pl’UM association is to promote choral singing in the university community. To offer something different from existing choirs, we have chosen to perform a pop-rock repertoire featuring original arrangements by our choir director, Samuel Zaroukian.
The choir is open to students as well as UM staff and residents. There are three sections: men, altos, and sopranos, so there’s a place for everyone. Most of the songs are familiar to everyone and span the period from the 1960s to the present day (for example, Norah Jones, Dépêche Mode, Niagara, Philippe Katerine, Les Nuls, Serge Gainsbourg, Camelia Jordana, and Pharrell Williams).
We will be performing at concerts later this year (at UM and/or at festivals, in the city and/or in the region).
When? Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., starting September 23, 2025.
Where? At the University of Montpellier, Triolet campus (Place Eugène Bataillon), Building 2, in the physics lab classrooms
