VoixUM a student organization at the University of Montpellier founded in 2025.
The goal of the VoixUM associationUM to promote choral singing in the university community. To offer something different from existing choirs, we have chosen to perform a pop-rock repertoire featuring original arrangements by our choir director, Samuel Zaroukian.
The choir is open to UM staff UM resident staff, and students. There are three sections: men, altos, and sopranos, so there’s a place for everyone. Most of the songs are familiar to everyone and span the period from the 1960s to the present day (for example, Norah Jones, Depeche Mode, Niagara, Philippe Katerine, Les Nuls, Serge Gainsbourg, Camelia Jordana, and Pharrell Williams).
We will be performing at concerts later this year (atUM at festivals, in the city and/or in the region).
When? Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., from September through June (excluding school holidays).
Where? At the University of Montpellier, Triolet Campus (Place Eugène Bataillon), Building 2, in the physics lab classrooms
