Voice pl’UM

Do you like singing? Do you like sharing fun times? Then join Voix pl’UM!

Voix pl’UM is an association at the University of Montpellier created in 2025.

The aim of the Voix pl’UM association is to promote choral singing in universities. In order to offer something complementary to existing choirs, we have chosen to work on a pop-rock repertoire with original arrangements by our choir director Samuel Zaroukian.

The choir is open to students, UM staff, and residents. There are three sections: men, altos, and sopranos, so there is a place for everyone. Most of the songs are well known and cover a period from the 1960s to the present day (for example, Norah Jones, Dépêche Mode, Niagara, Philippe Katerine, Les Nuls, Serge Gainsbourg, Camelia Jordana, and Farrel Williams).

We will perform in concerts at the end of the year (at the UM and/or at festivals, in the city and/or in the region).

When? Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. starting September 23, 2025.

Where? At the University of Montpellier, Triolet campus (Place Eugène Bataillon), Building 2, in the physics lab rooms.
