Social Sciences Division (Soc)
The Social Research Cluster at the University of Montpellier serves as a hub for fostering collaboration and synergy among research institutions and scholars in the fields of law, political science, economics, education, and management based in Montpellier.

Division Council
The Cluster Council issues advisory opinions on the direction and implementation of the Cluster’s initiatives and strategy.
Strategic Steering Committee (SSC)
The Strategic Steering Committee serves as a link between the Research Cluster Research its institutional partners. It helps define the Research Cluster’s major scientific strategic directions Research provides input on the action plan proposed by the Research Cluster’s management.
Human Resources Committee (HRC)
The Division comprises four Human Resources Committees (HRCs).
The Human Resources Committees address issues specific to the staff of the University of Montpellier. Each Human Resources Committee issues an advisory opinion in accordance with the statutory provisions specific to the Professors researchers.

Responsibilities
- facilitate, foster communication within the division, and develop a scientific vision;
- facilitate and coordinate responses to calls for proposals for cross-sectoral regional, national, or international projects;
- contribute to the national and international visibility of the research, initiatives, and findings of the social sciences community;
- serve as a bridge between education and research;
- through its four HR committees, address issues specific to human resources for the staff of the University of Montpellier.

The Social Sciences Division comprises 21 research units in law and political science, economics, education, and management, located in Montpellier, and is supported by:
